Modeling Nitrogen and Phosphorus Transport in Vadose Zone using HYDRUS- 1D

Abstract. The application of large manure on the agricultural lands that derived from Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) could cause excess nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus transport to groundwater through vadose (unsaturated) zone. objective this study is follows: (1) compare in zone at different Land Management Units (LMUs) for three consecutive years (2004-06) using HYDRUS-1D, (2) analyze sensitivity soil types van Genuchten hydraulic parameters: saturated water content (θs), residual (θr), alpha n parameters, conductivity (Ks), adsorption isoterm coefficients (Kd β), tortuosity parameter (l). After modeling it be concluded was faster during wet year. concentrations compounds were most sensitive (θs). Phosphorus coefficient (Kd).Abstrak. Pemakaian kotoran ternak dalam jumlah besar pada lahan-lahan pertanian yang berasal dari Peternakan Terkonsentrasi dapat mengakibatkan kelebihan unsur seperti dan fosfor bertranspor menuju air tanah melalui zona tidak jenuh air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: untuk membandingkan transpor di daerah unit lahan berbeda selama tiga tahun berturut-turut dengan menggunakan menganalisa sensitivitas jenis hidrolik Genuchten: kandungan n, konduktivitas koefisien adsorpsi tortuositas Setelah pemodelan disimpulkan bahwa lebih cepat basah. Konsentrasi paling sensitif terhadap Fosfor (Kd).Pemakaian (Kd).
